I began sewing as a kid with my grandmother, a seamstress with a shop in her backyard. My mom was also an avid sewer making lots of bedding, pillows and decor. I have always been creative and love the hum of the sewing machine. Each of my kids have their own quilt I made them when they were born. I have always loved making baby quilts and the joy it brings when friends have received them as gifts. I also make quilted table for the holiday, because I love decorating my house, and a table runner makes it happen, quickly! look forward to you enjoying one of my creations for years to come.
As a Woman Owned business, I am committed to pay it forward to the women and children in our community by donating to a woman/child forward organization.
All excess cotton fabric is repurposed or recycled.
2025 Donations to Loved Twice
Thank you to all of the markets that I attended to provide the space and opportunity for me to sell. Thank you to everyone who bought from SewMel Handmade this year. It was an amazing year of creating, connecting and selling.
Loved Twice received 14 baby quilts to include in their baby boxes for new moms and their babies. Everyone deserves to have something made especially for them with love and care. I am beyond thrilled that I was able to donate more this year because of YOU!
This amazing organization gives a year's worth of clothing to at-risk newborns. I couldn't love their mission more. Find more information about Loved Twice
